My Story

I have always had an eye and a passion for photography. Since I was little I would take my parents cameras and phones and take all the photos that I could. Were they good at that point? Definitely not, but I loved it. In my grade 10 careers class, we had to do a project on our dream job. I did mine on being a National Geographic Photographer. I was so proud of my project, but my teacher told me that is was unrealistic; even though most dreams are. This comment swayed me away from trying to do photography professionally. I graduated from high school, and enrolled in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a concentration in Sociology at Carleton University; which I am still currently finishing. I determined in first year that I wanted to continue photography as a hobby, and my parents gifted me the family camera; a Nikon D5100. I loved playing around with it, and taking photos of anything and everything. But it was not until the third year of my studies that I determined I was in the wrong path. I do not find passion in criminology or sociology, I find it in photography. Though I am finishing my degree, it is more of a show of dedication than anything else. I want to pursue photography full-time.

In addition to photography, I have found an appreciation for social media. I had an opportunity at a workplace that allowed me to become a social media manager. This role was so new for me, and it was a fun and exciting learning curve. I was able to utilize my photography skills, and my Gen Z social media abilities to help promote this business and their projects. Unfortunately, this job did not align with my personal views, and I decided to part ways with them. But I do not want to lose working on social media; which is why I am offering social media management and assistance.

I genuinely love what I do. I love helping my clients, and I love learning everyday. I was recently told "forever learning is a choice," and this had made me realize that I really do want to learn forever. Learning does not have to stop at the classroom. I want to work collaboratively with my clients, and any one else I work with to ensure that all parties are getting the most out of our interactions. Though I am not the most experienced and talented individual, I can ensure you that we will work together to make your goals and dreams come to life.
